Background
Agro družstvo Sebranice is an established agricultural enterprise that has been operating since 1992. The company is engaged in the cultivation of grain, rapeseed, and corn, as well as livestock farming and milk production.
Over the years, the company has developed into an important agricultural operator in the region, with a growing need for modern and scalable storage infrastructure. To meet increasing storage and handling demands, a project was initiated to expand the facility’s storage capacity through new silos and upgraded conveying equipment.
The Challenge
The project involved an extension of the existing storage facility and grain handling facility. This required careful dimensioning and technical adaptation to ensure compatibility and a smooth grain flow throughout the entire system.
Magnus Werner, sales representative Skandia Elevator
„In expansion projects like this, the key is ensuring that new equipment integrates seamlessly with the existing system while maintaining a stable and efficient grain flow.“
The facility was equipped with a complete solution from Skandia Elevator: H-Line conveyors (both top conveyors and bottom conveyors) with a capacity of 120 t/h. Bucket elevators, intake conveyors, and sweep conveyors were installed, together with Grain Cloud temperature monitoring: Grain Watch Silo (temperature lines).
The handling system was successfully integrated with the existing system. The solution ensures efficient handling of grain – from intake to storage and further distribution. The result is a fully operational and expanded facility where the storage capacity has increased by 12,632 tonnes and where the entire system functions as a cohesive, stable, and future-proof solution.
